OUR SERVICES

FOOD SUPPORT
We aim to provide nutritious meals to individuals and families who otherwise would not have access to them through our food support initiative, which includes:

Food Distribution: serving vulnerable populations, meaning those populations that, due to any given number of factors, have less access to necessities, like food, than other members of society. These populations include the impoverished, children, and older people—people who, for various reasons, rely on limited or no income, leading them to limited or no access to nourishment. We ensure these nutritional needs are met through the provision of appropriate foods.

Food banks: Initiating the establishment of food banks, which collect, store, and then distribute food (often free of charge) to needy people.

HEALTH SUPPORT
The Health Support program ensures affordable, accessible healthcare for our vulnerable population. Top priorities are providing reliable access to basic medical, dental, and mental health care. This program enables vulnerable families in local communities to experience the good health they can achieve, which will be carried out through;

Medical Care: This includes doctor consultations, access to essential medications for chronic conditions, and treatments.

Health Education: Health education is part of our health program. We have intensified health education and awareness programs to promote healthy behaviours in the localities. This program aims to inform the public of basic public health knowledge and display certain kinds of knowledge.
With this goal, we help boost health outcomes, lower mortality, and make lives healthier.

WATER SUPPORT
Through various initiatives, the Water Support service ensures access to clean and safe water for needy communities.
Here are some of those initiatives.

  • Water Wells: Boring water wells to furnish contact with pure water.
  • Water Purification: Establishing systems that purify water to the point where it is safe for people to drink it. The human body is about 70% water and can only survive a few days without access to water. Therefore, drinking water must be safe. Water that looks, smells, or tastes good may not be good to drink. Purification should eliminate disease-causing organisms and harmful chemicals that make drinking water dangerous.
  • EDUCATION SUPPORT
Providing educational resources in various formats ensures equal access to quality education. These resources include all sorts of materials that students at all education system levels require to learn. The basic education stage includes textbooks, uniforms, and stationery, among other materials. A lack of resources can disadvantage students, compromising the quality of their education.
The service aims to offer inclusive and resilient education to children and adults. Our initiatives bring about more meaningful impacts in the following ways:
  • We work with local communities to understand pre-existing conditions and regional contexts, which are then used to develop additional implementation strategies. These strategies ensure more inclusive and well-tailored education that caters to the specific needs and conditions of the learners.
  • We support preexisting infrastructures to ensure more access and better learning opportunities for those already in the system.
  • We provide direct services through program staff and volunteers, and leverage the local scale to reach every child and adult who requires support.
  • Providing scholarships to worthy students to advance their studies.
  • Providing various vocational training programs to equip individuals with employable skills for multiple industries.
Your donation to support this education initiative grants us almost unrivaled opportunities to pass on knowledge, skills, and the aptitudes necessary to break the poverty cycle.
  • AGRICULTURAL SUPPORT
Our Agricultural support service aims to promote sustainable agricultural practices and support needy farmers.
We are in a dispensation whereby selling farm produce is positive, but in many cases, simply gaining a foothold in the market is not enough for a farmer if we are discussing the hope of making a better living. As the system is structured now, both pre-pandemic and post-pandemic, farmers are in a weak position to demand higher prices. Even if they make that demand, they can still not keep all the money involved. This is because the intermediaries, the wholesalers and processors, typically take a significant share of the income compared to the value of the farm product itself. Delivering agricultural assistance, we hold the power to help raise the meagre yields that keep smallholder farmers in the local areas from achieving a decent standard of living and adequate food security. When we provide seeds, fertilizers, or tools, we are not just giving aid. We provide hope to the nearly countless people relying on agriculture for subsistence. With this initiative, we bridge this gap by providing farmers with necessary farm inputs like seeds, fertilizer, and equipment.

SPORT AND ENTERTAINMENT SUPPORT
At Living Without Poverty Foundation, we believe that sport and entertainment are our tools of choice to effect social change and development. Our Sport and Entertainment Development program is where we develop those tools and deliver opportunities to individuals, particularly the youth, to participate in sports and creative entertainment programs. Both sports and entertainment promote physical health, mental wellness, social inclusivity, and, most notably, the establishment of our healthy communities.
The objectives of our Sport and Entertainment Development program are as follows:

  1. Promote Social Inclusion: We believe that entertainment and sports have the potential to unite people, reinforce social inclusion, and defuse many of the conflicts that can arise from misunderstandings and unaddressed grievances.
  2. Cultivate Essential Abilities: Through sports and creative undertakings, our prime objective is to nurture fundamental life aptitudes such as collaboration, practical expression, and directorial aptitude. These capabilities, among many others we earnestly seek to cultivate, are imperative to establishing a foundation of individual potency that contributes to familial and communal health.
  3. Opportunities for Talent Development
We offer a platform for individuals to enhance their talents and skills in their respective domains of sports and entertainment. We do this through various programming projects that allow them to apply what they have learned in training to real-world situations. We oversee the development of a sports-and-entertainment-related workforce and supply the talent pipeline with coaches, trainers, medical staff, managers, and life-skill instructors.
